Mr. Comparetto founded Emergent Communications and Technology Integration (ECTI) in 2025 to provide advanced technical consulting to the DHS, DoD, Intelligence Community, and state law enforcement communities.

He brings deep expertise across a broad range of technical domains, including satellite and terrestrial wireless communications, networking, electronic warfare, space control, modeling and simulation, sensors/ISR/imaging, optics and photonics, and applied data and behavioral sciences. His background combines hands-on technical leadership with extensive experience interfacing with senior government stakeholders and managing high-performing technical teams.

Mr. Comparetto has specialized expertise in link budget analysis, modulation and coding, spread spectrum, MANETs, anti-jam techniques, frequency coordination, and fading-channel analysis, as well as modeling and simulation of tactical and satellite communications networks. He is the author of more than 45 peer-reviewed technical publications, has contributed communications architecture chapters to graduate-level textbooks, and developed a comprehensive four-day course entitled From LEO to GEO: SATCOM Systems Engineering and Design. He has served as an invited graduate instructor at the University of Colorado in Colorado Springs and the University of Denver.

Previously, Mr. Comparetto managed MITRE’s Border Security Department, leading more than 35 engineers and a $25M work program supporting U.S. Customs and Border Protection across multiple operational offices. He also provided technical and management oversight for MITRE’s DARPA portfolio. Earlier in his career, he served as General Manager and Chief Operating Officer of Radio Dynamics Corporation, overseeing day-to-day operations, R&D direction, and business development.

Mr. Comparetto is happily married and has ten children – he currently lives in the Northern Virginia area.
