Mr. Comparetto formed Emergent Communications and Technology Integration (ECTI) in 2025 to provide consulting services to the DHS, DoD, Intel, and State Law Enforcement communities.

Mr. Comparetto’s professional experience has scanned a wide range of technical areas including Satellite Communications, Networking, Electronic Warfare, Space Control, Natural Language Processing, Sensors/ISR/Imaging, Optics/Photonics/LASER, Bio-engineering, and Behavioral Science and he has proven ability in the areas of senior customer interface and management of senior technical personnel.

Mr. Comparetto has extensive technical expertise in all areas of terrestrial wireless and satellite communications (MANETs, link budget analysis, modulation, coding, interleaving, spread spectrum, multi-access, anti-jam, frequency coordination, fading channel). Additionally, Mr. Comparetto has extensive technical expertise in performing modeling and simulation (M&S) of tactical and satellite communications networks. He has strong writing abilities - authored over 45 technical publications presented and published in a variety of technical conferences and refereed journals and authored two communications architecture chapters in graduate level textbooks.  Mr. Comparetto developed a comprehensive 4-day course entitled From LEO to GEO: SATCOM Systems Engineering and Design” and has been an invited Instructor for the University of Colorado in Colorado Springs (UCCS) and the University of Denver, teaching two graduate level courses. 

Throughout his career, Mr. Comparetto has held a number of technical and management positions. Most recently he managed the MITRE Corporation’s Border Security department comprised of over 35 technical engineers supporting a work program of $25M. In this role, Mr. Comparetto oversaw all of the work in support of Customs and Border Protection (CBP) including the offices of PMOD, INVNT, USBP, SPAD, LEOD, OS, ES, and OFO.

Prior to this, Mr. Comparetto had technical and management oversite of MITRE’s Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) work program. Finally, Mr. Comparetto served as the General Manager and Chief Operating Officer of the Radio Dynamics Corporation where he was directly responsible for the day-to-day operations of the company and for providing technical guidance and direction in the areas of R&D activities and business development.

Mr. Comparetto is happily married and has ten children – he currently lives in the Northern Virginia area.
